My Macaron Making Addiction
Ok; so this is my reality...I can't bake macarons this week. So, what am I doing in the early morning hours of 4th of July? I'm writing about baking macarons. Is that even a thing? You might be wondering why I can't bake this week (or not), but I'll tell you anyway. The reason is good, actually great(!)...I'm heading to Disney World on Saturday...my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE place on Earth! If I could design my dream job, it would be to open a macaron boutique on Main Street USA and bake macarons for smiling children, families, moms, dads, grandmas, and grandpas, and every other Disney lover that also could appreciate an authentically made macaron and appreciate that I barely sleep because all I can think about is tweaking a recipe or trying the next combination. I am obsessed. Yes; I admit it. "My name is Tracy Woodard and I am a Macaronaholic." ("Hi Tracy"....quiet round of applause coming from fellow addicts).
I have enough macarons in my inventory, so I can't justify making more because they would just go stale while I was was away and that just won't do.
So, I decided that while I'm down in Disney World, I'll check out the macaron offerings they already have. I've done my research and, yes, they do have them at a couple of places:
I can take no credit for these macarons or even this picture, for that matter. But, I have to admit, it's got me thinking...I could make Mickey shaped macarons...just sayin'... So, this is my quest (true Disney fanatics will get this pun) for the week we're in Disney...I'm going to find any and all Disney macarons and post pictures of them. Then, when I get back, I'm going to use the ideas and inspiration for The Perfect Sweet.
